Every third year, SCCA Area 9 members [San Francisco and Reno Regions] elect a Director to the National Board. This is totally separate from the San Francisco Region Board which manages SFR.

This is a third year, so ballots will be sent by U.S. Mail to all members in Area 9, arriving in mailboxes no later than October 15. The official ballot must be returned by November 15.

What does the National Board do: They establish the policies of the Club and oversee and direct the implementation and execution of such policies and the administration of the affairs of the Club by the executive committee, other committees as it determines to appoint and authorize, and the staff of the Club.

So this year, you will have two elections to vote in: National and Regional. Voting for SFR is handled primarily online – sfrscca.motorsportreg.com – and will open October 12. Paper ballots may be requested from the Region Office.
