The privilege of choosing the Driver of the Weekend belonged to the Timing and Scoring crew and our choice was Jonathon Allen, #14 SRF3.

Jonathon comes to us all the way from Laguna Beach in Southern California. While he doesn’t race with us as often as in the past, he certainly hasn’t lost his edge!

Saturday afternoon he couldn’t qualify better than 18th but, in the Sunday morning race, he advanced 7 positions on the first lap, 3 more on the second lap and 4 more by midway through the race to finish 2nd. Jonathon was the Hard Charger of the race and the Fast Rabbit with the fastest lap overall.

Having got the bit between his teeth, he took the pole in Sunday Qualifying and held the lead to win Sunday’s race as well. All with no incidents or deviations.
